After successful sessions in Groningen, Zwolle, Utrecht, and Rotterdam, Vipassana teacher Ank Schravendeel and musician Arman Ameri Mahani are now offering a full-day workshop of Singing and Meditation in Nijmegen.

The program alternates between sitting meditation, movement with sound, and singing. We will sing simple mantras and ragas (improvisations on an Indian scale).

• Ank Schravendeel has been guiding Vipassana meditation since 2007 and has been leading singing meditations since 2022.

• Arman Ameri Mahani devoted several years to studying Dhrupad, one of the oldest classical music traditions of India, where meditative singing has its roots. He completed his Master’s degree at the conservatory in Groningen.
